Local Environmental Organizations: If you are not already a member of the Friends of Pleasant Bay or Friends of Arey's Pond, or Orleans Pond Coalition, we strongly urge you to join. These groups play a critical role in trying to ensure that our local waters are restored to a healthy state. They work to achieve these goals through education, volunteerism, and sponsorship of environmental projects. In the summer of 2008, the Oreans Pond Coalition will be publishing and distributing a new booklet, The Orleans Blue Pages -- A Guide to Protecting Cape Cod Waters.
